One Deep Work Hour Daily
30 days · Productivity
One distraction-free hour on your most important work, daily for 30 days.
One hour. Phone in another room, notifications off, one single task that actually matters. Thirty of these hours in a month routinely outproduces entire normal workweeks - and the calendar shows you exactly which days you actually did it versus felt busy.
The rules
- One unbroken 60-minute block on your single most important task.
- Phone physically elsewhere; every notifier closed.
- Interrupted block = restart the hour or mark a miss. Honest calendars only.
Tips from people who finished
- Book the block in your calendar like a meeting - ideally the same hour daily.
- Write tomorrow's deep-work task the evening before; never decide at start time.
- Track what you produced in the day note. Evidence builds the identity.
Track it properly
The difference between "trying" this challenge and finishing it is usually a visible calendar. Create yours and you get:
- A 30-day calendar you tick off daily - with streaks and completion stats computed live.
- Achievement badges (day 1, 7-day streak, halfway, finisher…).
- A share link so a friend can watch and keep you honest - see the accountability playbook.
- A printable version for the fridge.
