No-Spend Month
30 days · Money
30 days of zero non-essential spending.
For one month, money goes to essentials only: rent, groceries, bills, transport, existing commitments. No takeaway, no impulse buys, no "it was on sale". The calendar turns an abstract budget into a daily pass/fail - and the month typically saves people hundreds.
The rules
- Essentials only: housing, groceries, bills, transport, health.
- No restaurants, takeaway, clothes, gadgets, in-app purchases.
- Define your allowed exceptions in writing BEFORE day 1.
Tips from people who finished
- Unsubscribe from every marketing email on day 0 - remove the ammunition.
- A 24-hour want-list replaces impulse buys; revisit it after the month.
- Track the running total saved in your day notes. Watching it grow carries week 3.
Track it properly
The difference between "trying" this challenge and finishing it is usually a visible calendar. Create yours and you get:
- A 30-day calendar you tick off daily - with streaks and completion stats computed live.
- Achievement badges (day 1, 7-day streak, halfway, finisher…).
- A share link so a friend can watch and keep you honest - see the accountability playbook.
- A printable version for the fridge.
